🇺🇸 Pembroke Remembers: Vietnam 🇺🇸

The Vietnam War touched communities across America, including the towns and valleys of our own New River Valley. Young men answered the call to serve, leaving behind families, friends, and hometowns they loved. Some returned forever changed, and some never returned at all.

As we continue honoring those who gave their lives in service to our nation, we pause to remember local heroes whose sacrifice ensured future generations would continue to know the freedoms we enjoy today.

Showers and thunderstorms are possible each day through the middle of this week, a few of which could produce localized flash flooding. Rainfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are possible in the stronger storms or where storms pass repeatedly over the same locations. However, confidence is low on the timing and location where any flooding may occur.
