If you’ve ever visited us, more than likely You’ve seen Ken around the store. For many many years Ken took care of the mowing, some of the cleaning, and lots of the prep work for the kitchen. He worked in the kitchen for years as well. When we think of Ken we are often reminded of his services to God, his neighbors and his family.

Happy Birthday to Nay Presley, Overseer of The Presley Horton Store for the entirety of its run!

Theres pleny of people who helped the store down through the years but to list a few things he’s did:
Shared an intrest with Rufus, the owner, to repair the old building and transform it to a working building solely for the purpose of free, clean community entertainment- something our area of Hancock county didnt have in the early 90s.
Lead all 3 expansions of the store over the years
Helped things big and small the store couldnt pay for itself while it was running- with nothing more than a hope he would be paid back for it.
Spent hundreds of hours of his own time preparing the store for auctions or musics.
Helped prep the food for the kitchen
And overall made sure the whole place ran good and stuck with the “clean entertainment” agenda. Most everybody stuck to that, but when they didn’t they hit the road.

I say all that not to brag or boast, but to simply give credit where credit is due.

To Nay- happy 85th birthday!
