Reminder about the Hojalata Workshop tomorrow, Saturday 5/16 at 2p.m.

Hojalata (oh-ha-LAH-tah) is vibrant Mexican folk art using tin to create decorative items through cutting, shaping, embossing, and painting (optional).

Intended for ages 18 and older. Supplies and space is limited so registration is required. To register go to sdcl.org/fletcherhills and click on events.

Knowledge is power!

Demystify car maintenance and empower yourself by signing up for this 3 hour hands-on workshop taught by a female automotive professional from the Girlie Garage:

-Basic automotive safety​
-Basic automotive maintenance​
-How to navigate a mechanic (how to confirm or deny if repairs need to be made)​
-Emergency situations including replacing a flat tire, and jump starting a car

Each participant receives a pair of reusable gloves, tire pressure gauge, preprinted notes, a snack, and a lifetime of knowledge to save them $$ driving and owning vehicles!

Class is intended for Adults and Teens ages 15 and up. Spots are limited, registration is required.

Unleash your imagination, tomorrow, Thursday, May 7, from 2:30-4:30 p.m.! Stop by anytime during the program and build your own Lego creations along with fellow brick enthusiasts.

The Brick Builders Club is held on the first Thursday of each month from 2:30-4:30 p.m.

RSVP is not required, however, seating is limited and is on a first come, first seated basis.

Join SAR K-9 Unit Leader Pam Medhurst and her adorable rescue companion, Gus the friendly Beagle, for an engaging K-9 Search & Rescue Storytime!

Children will discover how search and rescue teams serve our community, learn what to do if they ever get lost, and have the chance to meet Gus in person.
