Extreme Heat Warning Through Friday, August 28

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning through 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, with dangerously hot conditions expected across parts of San Diego County.

As temperatures rise, each Cajon Valley school site will take appropriate measures based on local conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of our students and staff.

Please help by ensuring that your children:
• Wear weather-appropriate, lightweight, and breathable clothing.
• Bring water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the day. Drinking fountains and refill stations are available at all of our schools.
• Take extra precautions when walking or biking to and from school during periods of extreme heat.

Schools will monitor conditions throughout the day and adjust outdoor activities, recess, PE, and other activities as appropriate.
