Imagine serving your country and then being questioned about whether you were actually in the military. If you thought you were immune to the mass ICE raids, read this:

In a mass raid at a business in New Jersey, ICE detained both U.S. citizens and undocumented residents. One of those detained was a military veteran who was then questioned about the legitimacy of his military documentation.

According to Newark Mayor Ray Baraka, the ICE officials acted without producing a warrant, directly violating the 4th Amendment, which states, ‘The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrant shall issue, but upon probable cause.’

As if that weren’t enough, Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, said that the arrests across the country were actually closer to 1,300 and that collateral arrests of citizens were expected to be higher than normal.
