Summer heat continued to drive higher energy use across the WCEC service territory during the July billing cycle.

⚡ Average residential use was 1,880 kWh per household, an increase of 8.2% from June and 4.4% higher than July 2025. ☀️ July recorded 591 cooling degree days, reflecting another hot month.

💲 Good news for members: The PCRF decreased this month after holding steady for most of the year.

August is generally the hottest and highest-use month of the year. Continue to use ceiling fans, close blinds during the afternoon, and adjust your thermostat a few degrees to help reduce energy use and lower your bill. Find out more at MyWCEC.coop/BillSummary.💲☀️⚡
