El Campo Memorial Hospital is proud to recognize the dedicated Level 4 Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students from Wharton County Junior College who recently completed their clinical rotations with our team. WCJC's ADN program combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical experience to prepare students for professional nursing practice.

A special thank you to Patricia Korenek for her leadership, guidance, and commitment to educating the next generation of nurses. We also appreciate the support of Brett Kirkham and our hospital staff for providing valuable hands-on learning experiences that help prepare these students for successful careers in healthcare.

Miguel Sierra-Hoffman recently gave a lecture in Honduras at the University Technological of Central America Medical School, discussing Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome and Ebola Virus Disease. As an infectious disease specialist, Dr. Sierra-Hoffman emphasized the importance of educating future healthcare professionals about emerging infectious diseases and global outbreaks.

His lecture focused on awareness, preparedness, and the importance of early recognition and response as the world continues to monitor infectious disease threats. Dr. Sierra-Hoffman believes education and global collaboration are critical in protecting communities and improving public health worldwide.

His passion for teaching and sharing knowledge with future healthcare professionals reflects the dedication and expertise he brings to our community every day. El Campo is truly blessed to have access to such an outstanding physician and leader in infectious disease medicine.
