Robert Menvielle for Imperial County Assessor 2026 Robert Menvielle Re-Election Campaign for Imperial County Assessor 2026 I am the elected County Assessor in Imperial County.

I was first elected in 2014 and took office in 2015. I was re-elected to a second four-year term in 2018. Prior to being elected Assessor, I worked for 22 years as a real property appraiser under the administrations of the three previous Imperial County Assessors. Prior to joining the Assessor's Office in October 1992, I worked for 13 years in agri-business following my graduation from Cal Poly Po

mona. As Assessor, I have improved the efficiency and productivity of the Assessor's Office through the use of technology and staff training. Some of the technology improvements include implementing computer assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) programs for residential property purchases and residential decline in value reviews. I implemented an online business property filing program that allows business owners to e-file their annual business property statements. I have provided the public with online access to property assessment information and basic property characteristic information. I operate the office with the budget that is assigned to my department and approved annually by the Board of Supervisors. That budget and the department's staffing allocation has decreased since 2016, as the county implemented mandatory budget and staffing reductions while still requiring that I manage the department's ever-increasing workload, much of it due to the rapid appreciation in real estate values following the Great Recession. I have been able to maintain the services that the property owners of Imperial County expect from their County Assessor, while still completing my constitutionally required duties and continuing to be a good steward of the public funds that are allocated for use by the department. Finally, I make certain that the Assessor's staff is always available to assist the property and business owners of Imperial County and that they serve the public in a professional and courteous manner.

My lead in the Assessor election as of June 10, 2026 is 610 votes. I have received 12,053 votes or 51.3% of the 23,496 votes cast in the Assessor election and hold a 2.6% margin over the challenger who received 11,443 votes.
According to information submitted to the California Secretary of State by the Registrar of Voters, with the exception of 460 ballots that include 70 provisional ballots, 30 conditional ballots, 10 "other" ballots and 350 ballots that have missing or non-matching signatures, all ballots have been processed. Based on this information, I have been re-elected as the Imperial County Assessor! Thank you again for your support and more importantly, for your vote!

I want to acknowledge and thank Todd Machado, Rae Perez, Claire Perez Machado and Julie Perez Rasco for their help with my 2026 re-election campaign. They have been working tirelessly the past few months talking to voters, delivering signs and planning a meet the candidate event in support of my re-election campaign. I want to acknowledge and thank Sammy Pacheco for his help with my re-election campaign. Sammy has been talking to voters and placing yard signs for several months. He asked the sign maintenance team to place this 10' high sign at his residence in El Centro. I call it the High Sign because it reminds me of how I manage my campaigns for public office. Be positive, be visible and always take the high road! When I'm campaigning, I discuss my experience, knowledge, accomplishments and goals. I give the voters the facts so that they can decide who is the best candidate!

The June 2, 2026, Primary Election is only a few days away. For this and future elections, all registered voters will receive their ballots by mail. Voters can decide when, where and how they deliver their ballots to the Registrar of Voters. Ballots can be returned by mail, delivered to official drop boxes located in each of the seven incorporated cities or returned to one of three Vote Centers that are now open. These Vote Centers are located at the Lions Center in Brawley, Camarena Memorial Library in Calexico and the new public library in El Centro. The Vote Centers are open daily from now through June 2 and the services provided include curbside ballot drop off for individuals with limited mobility. Additional Vote Centers will open Saturday, May 30. For additional information, contact the Registrar of Voters at (442) 265-1060 or access their website at www.elections.imperialcounty.org.
