Mission: The mission of the Imperial County Public Health Department is to promote, protect, and support the health of people, the environment, and our communities. The Imperial County Public Health Department operates Health Services and Community-focused programs, which range from health education, disease and injury prevention, environmental health services, and long-range public health plannin
g for the protection of the public’s health. The Department collects qualitative data through assessments, surveys and focus groups, in addition to quantitative data at the county and state levels from birth and death records, hospital discharge documents, and disease reports. This data allows public health staff to assess the health status of the community.
