What an incredible honor and solemn reminder to have the National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors to visit our community. As the Moving Honors procession travels across the United States on it's journey to Arlington, Virginia, it made a meaningful stop in Andover KS to help us remember and honor the EMS professional heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. During the ceremony, 37 names were called, including one of our very own, Justin Lauppe. Their service, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We are both grateful and humbled to have been a part of this special tribute and to stand alongside family, friends, and fellow EMS professionals in honoring these heroes. Please join us in wishing the National EMS Memorial Service Moving Honors team safe travels as they continue their journey to the next destination.

CPR & AED Awareness Week 2026

This week, Butler County EMS is proud to join communities nationwide in raising awareness about the lifesaving power of CPR and AEDs. Knowing how to act quickly in an emergency can make all the difference.

Did you know?

Performing CPR immediately after someone’s heart stops can double or even triple their chance of survival.
AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are easy to use and can restore a normal heartbeat in sudden cardiac arrest.
We encourage everyone to learn CPR and how to use an AED. Your quick action can save a life—maybe even of someone you love.

Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay ready.
