I personally want to thank those who have shared, inquired about the Daddy-Daughter Dance Fundraier. Unfortunately, due to very low ticket sales we are forced to postpone the event, date TBA.

Full refunds will be issued to those who purchased tickets!

It’s our hope and prayer that the future date will be at a time that allows more participation with presale, as it’s truly needed to determine our budget for the event.

We have lost a indelible symbol of hard work, dedication, and care! Mr. John Gross will certainly be missed! Thank you for all you have done for our community and many in Union County, Arkansas!

This morning at 5:45 am several law enforcement officers from several agencies gathered for Torch Run 2026! I WAS HONORED TO BE A PART OF THIS RUN! This event is a very special occasion near and dear to my heart! The Special Olympics brings awareness and opportunities for some very awesome athletes to showcase their incredible skills! Several law enforcement agencies from across the State of Arkansas attend the games to award each participant with medals and trophies! The TORCH RUN is done across the state in all four corners with the final torch being run into the 2026 Special Olympics Arkansas Summer Games at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, from May 21 to May 23, 2026. The event features around 2,000 athletes competing in sports like track and field, swimming, and tennis.

This morning, while shopping in Walmart, I attempted to find a product, but it wasn’t any on the shelf. So, as I got down on the floor to look on the lower shelves and under the rack to ensure that it had not fallen where I couldn’t see, an associate walks by and says “Sir are you OK?” I replied. “Yes ma’am I’m fine. I was attempting to find this product before I gave up. Figured I would go the extra mile, just in case, before I believed what I didn’t see in front of me.” the associate responded “Oh! That makes sense!“ Unbeknownst to me there was another lady on the aisle, watching me as well. She immediately said “and that is why your sign is in my front yard! Because that’s what you do! I’ve always known you to go the extra mile for everyone else!” that was confirmation for me! This race has not been easy, but ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭11‬ reminds us “the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” The lady followed up by saying “You just keep doing what your doing! It’s going to be alright!” That SPOKE VOLUMES to me!

34th Annual Mayhaw 2026 in the books! What a great day!

What an AWESOME day it was!! The weather was BEAUTIFUL, the people and attendance for the 34th Annual Mayhaw Festival was PHENOMENAL! Congratulations to Krystal Swint and the South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society staff!! I’m so GRATEFUL to have been a part of such a wonderful FAMILY friendly event! Can’t wait until next year! Thank You So Much to EVERYONE who stopped by to speak with me and offered prayer, words of encouragement, and support! I’m so GRATEFUL!
