Seniors, join us on a trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific! Thursday, January 26th from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Transportation departs from the Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center. This event is FREE for residents ages 50 and older. Limited spaces available, and Free transportation is available to the public.

It’s official! On Saturday, I was officially sworn in before the ceremonial oath of office event. El Monte now has a corporate-free, pro-democracy, anti-corruption elected City Clerk who will work for you, the people, not corporate interests or corrupt political machines. Thank you so much to all 5,860 El Monte residents who voted for change in the office of City Clerk, and thank you so much to my family, friends and community members for your support and being there for me whenever I needed it. I look forward to serving every resident of El Monte.

Dear El Monte community members, familia and friends,

While vote counting will continue for at least a couple more weeks, having maintained a double digit percentage lead for several days now, it is now mathematically clear that victory can be declared. It will be an honor and a privilege to serve you as your next El Monte City Clerk. This win is about you, not me: you who came out in the rain to a polling location or who filled out a long mail ballot to participate in our democracy, make your voice heard, and exercise your right to vote.




As November turns from Election Day to Thanksgiving soon, I give thanks, especially to voters and to community members, family, friends (including Chris Trigueros who made my campaign shirts!), and also other El Monte candidates who helped spread the word about this grassroots, shoestring campaign for City Clerk, along with residents kind enough to put up my yard signs and very visibly show their support like that.

Si bien el conteo de votos continuará durante al menos un par de semanas más, después de haber mantenido una ventaja porcentual de dos dígitos durante varios días, ahora está matemáticamente claro que se puede declarar la victoria. Será un honor y un privilegio servirle como su próximo Secretario Municipal de El Monte. Esta victoria se trata de usted, no de mí: usted que salió bajo la lluvia a un lugar de votación o que llenó una boleta larga por correo para participar en nuestra democracia, hacer oír su voz y ejercer su derecho al voto.





A medida que noviembre pasa del Día de las Elecciones al Día de Acción de Gracias, doy las gracias, especialmente a los votantes y a los miembros de la comunidad, familiares, amigos (¡incluido Chris Trigueros, quien hizo las camisetas de mi campaña!) y también a otros candidatos de El Monte que ayudaron a correr la voz sobre esto. Hola comunidad, familia y amigos de El Monte! Las elecciones del 8 de noviembre de 2022 terminaron oficialmente, pero las boletas continuarán procesándose y contándose durante las próximas semanas. Pero nuestros números se ven muy bien, ya que tenemos una ventaja saludable sobre el titular. Quiero dar las gracias a todos los que han apoyado nuestra campaña por el cambio en la oficina del Secretario Municipal y por todas las amables llamadas y mensajes de texto de felicitación. A aquellos que tuvieron la amabilidad de permitirme colocar letreros en el patio, ahora pueden quitarlos y enviarme un mensaje para que pueda recogerlos. Muchas gracias de nuevo.

Hello El Monte community, family, and friends! The November 8th, 2022, election is officially over, but the ballots will continue to be processed and tallied over the next few weeks. But our numbers are looking really good, as we have a healthy lead over the incumbent. I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign for change in the City Clerk’s office and for all the very kind calls and text messages of congratulations. To those kind enough to have allowed me to put up yard signs, you can now take them down and message me so I can pick them up. Thanks again so much.
