With smoke from a nearby fire impacting air quality across our region, the City of El Monte is distributing FREE N95 masks to help protect residents from smoke and airborne particles.

What an unforgettable night at the El Monte Night Market! 🇲🇽🎶⚽

More than 12,000 people filled downtown El Monte for an evening packed with excitement, music, and community pride. I was honored to welcome the legendary Banda Machos to our city, and they absolutely brought the house down with an incredible performance that had the crowd dancing and singing all night long.

The energy reached another level as thousands gathered to watch the FIFA World Cup match between Mexico and South Korea. The atmosphere was electric as Mexico secured the victory, and the celebration that followed was something truly special!

One of the highlights of the evening was having the opportunity to spend time with the members of Banda Machos after their performance. They were gracious, humble, and a pleasure to meet. I’m already looking forward to catching another one of their shows in the future!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the Night Market such a tremendous success. Nights like these remind us what makes El Monte such a special place to call home.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Baldwin Park Street Market as they kicked off their summer series with a fantastic Pride Celebration! 🌈🎶

The evening featured great music from DJ Angie Vee, followed by an incredible performance by The Flashbax that had the crowd singing and dancing.

I was honored to receive such a warm welcome from the Mayor and City Councilmembers of Baldwin Park. I had heard so many wonderful things about their Street Market, and I can honestly say it lived up to all the hype. The energy, community spirit, entertainment, food, and vendors made for an amazing evening.

Congratulations to the City of Baldwin Park on another successful event. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Celebrate Father’s Day with us at the El Monte Night Market on June 18!

Join us for a special evening dedicated to honoring the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who make a lasting impact on our families and community. Enjoy delicious food, local vendors, family-friendly activities, and an exciting live performance by Banda Machos as we come together for a night of fun, music, and celebration on Main Street.

Four years ago today, our community suffered an unimaginable loss with the line-of-duty deaths of Sergeant Michael Paredes and Officer Joseph Santana.

On June 14, 2022, these two brave El Monte Police officers made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting our community. Their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to others exemplified the very best of public service.

Though four years have passed, their legacy endures—in the El Monte Police Department, in the community they served, and in the hearts of all who knew them. Today, we honor their memory, support their families, and remember the profound impact they had on our city.

Please join me in reflecting on their service and sacrifice. May we never forget Sergeant Michael Paredes and Officer Joseph Santana, whose bravery and dedication will forever be a part of El Monte’s history.
