Hi friends! There was a post in the Nextdoor app about a book swap being hosted by Lesley. I wanted to share!

I'm unable to make it, but I made her 8 Blind Date With A Book to add to the selections using some of the book donations hanging out in the backstock. Each has a blurb on the back with their Goodreads rating and genre. Don't look those up, that's cheating 😅 If you can make it, it is tomorrow evening!

Should I make some of these for our next celebration or backstock event? I'm afraid to put them directly in the library and someone open them or just take all the additional items included 😞

Just a note: I have made these to sell at markets before, but NEVER with any donated books. If you happen to see me at one, rest assured that I would never take advantage of our neighbors and their generosity. I purchase those out of my own pocket. People who use little libraries as their personal resale stock make me rage, because that completely goes against the entire point of the community box.

To the mama of the sweet kiddo who stopped by last night and asked if we had more books than what was in the library - COME BACK! He was looking for books for *you*, and even though my husband tried his best, he missed out on giving your kiddo some prime reading material to bring to you. I know he included a Patterson book lol

P.S. I hereby award you mom of the year 🏆, because I don't know too many kids who would be browsing outlets libraries fkr their mom ❤️

Finally got through all of your wonderful donations and sorted them out by age group. Big thanks to my 16 year old for helping me lug all the boxes back and forth because I am weakkkk 😅 Here's some group shots of most of them sorted!

Next post will be some piles I have set aside that may be niche genres and could go together (doesn't mean they have to go together).

I have so many donations to go through and sort from the past several weeks. Although I haven't posted them in quite a while, please know that we are so thankful that you thought of us and keep us stocked up to continue sharing with our neighborhood!

With it now being summer, I plan to be more consistent with adding new books at least once a week so that the selection will always be changing. I've also recently cleaned up my craft area and found a bunch of little trinkets to share 😊
