The First Line Leader
Command Sgt. Maj. Andrew Lombardo, Army Reserve CSM, spoke to Soldiers of the 263rd Quartermaster Company (El Paso, Tx.) about the importance of the First Line Leader.
Afterward, he awarded a challenge coin to Staff Sgt. Melissa Maynez, a first-line leader in the company.

372nd QM BN Change of Command
This past weekend Col. Seth Pedersen, commander of the 77th Quartermaster Group (El Paso, Tx.), presided over a change-of-command ceremony for the 372nd Quartermaster Battalion (Albuquerque, NM) at Hardin Field, Kirtland Air Force Base.
The change-of-command ceremony is a tradition rich in symbolism and heritage. The outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Scott Grimes symbolically relinquished responsibility and authority for the company by passing the company colors to Col. Pedersen.
Col. Pedersen then passed the BN colors to the incoming commander, Lt. Col. Christopher Sanders, transitioning to new leadership for the battalion.
LT. Col. Grimes has completed his tenure as the commander of the battalion. Lt. Col. Grimes was recognized by Col. Pedersen for his hard work and contributions to the unit during the ceremony at Hardin Field, Kirtland Air Force Base.
Grimes' follow on assignment will be with the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Marysville, Washington.

Recetnly, Brig. Gen. Kevin F. Meisler, the commanding general of the 4th ESC, hosted a Change of Command Ceremony in El Paso Texas for the 77th Quartermaster Group Headquarters.
Brig. Gen. Meisler thanked the outgoing commander, Col. Earl “Chip” Sparks, for his hard work and devotion to the unit. He then welcomed the incoming commander, Col. Seth Pederson, and his family to the 4th ESC.
