Hey Team, there has been an update to this event due to the expected high temperatures on Sunday, the 24.6 hour run has been cancelled.
Stop by the Division Headquarters Monday to celebrate the 246th Army Birthday with static displays, food vendors, and a cake cutting.
Details at 1st Armored Division.
*UPDATE* The 24.6-hour birthday run is CANCELLED. We put the safety of our Soldiers above all else, and, considering El Paso’s historic high temperatures right now, we have decided to celebrate only on Monday. We will still have food trucks and static displays, and, of course the ceremonial cake cutting.
Join #AmericasTankDivision as we celebrate the 246th birthday of the U.S. Army at Iron Soldier Field. We will have static vehicle and weapons displays on Monday, June 14. In addition to those displays, the museum will have historical displays, AAFES will host Food Trucks and a mobile barber shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 3 p.m., join The Real Iron 7 Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Williams as we commemorate the occasion with a ceremonial cake cutting!
All DoD cardholders are welcome to attend and Soldiers are encouraged to spend their day celebrating the nation's oldest and greatest fighting force. We cannot celebrate #ArmyHeritageMonth without you!
If you can't make it, be sure to check our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages for photos and videos throughout the day!
