Las Posadas in West Texas Sustains a Centuries-Old Mexican Reenactment of the Biblical Story of Christmas

Thanks for the coverage and beautiful photos from our friends at Texas Co-op Power of the San Elizario community’s most celebrated annual Luminaria Festival, set for this Saturday, December 17.

The article features our own Ms. Lillian, of Los Portales Museum and the important role our youth play in the traditional posadas that accompany the event.

This year, thanks to partnerships with the City of San Elizario, the festivities have expanded to include a parade and artisan market where you can holiday shop, local. Visit their page for updates on this Saturday, December 17th’s jam packed afternoon and evening of fun for the whole family.
