TF Warhawg conducted a Officer and NCO of the quarter competition training for the upcoming BDE board. The morning started with a run and some of the new ACFT events and the rest of the morning was communication, medical and weapons training.

5th Armored Brigade

Soldiers from across 5th Armored Brigade, First Army Division West compete in the brigade’s enlisted and officer of the quarter competition on Fort Bliss Sept. 26-27. CSM Barreras ACP Closing; Constitution ACP Opening

CSM Barreras Access Control Point is closing at 9 p.m., Sept. 28 and will remain closed while Texas Department of Transportation and Fort Bliss’ Directorate of Public Works conduct construction projects in that area. Upon completion of these projects, the ACP will re-open.

During the closure, Constitution ACP will open 24/7 until the TXDOT/DPW projects are completed.

It has been a busy few weeks conducting blue line training and the culminating training exercise for the 1-178. The warhawgs also broke some new ground during this exercise. This was the first time army wide that small drones where used and defeated by drone busters during the culminating training exercise.

CSM Baca most recently served as the Command Sergeant Major of 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, at Fort Carson, Colorado. The Dagger Brigade welcomes CSM Baca and his family. Sharpen the Edge!

New Jersey National Guard

The soldiers of the 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team have been advancing steadily through the mobilization process at Fort Bliss, TX evaluated by Mobilization and Deployment, DPTMS and are almost ready for the next step of the KFOR 26 mission.

Col. Robert Hughes, commander of the 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and staff brief their counterparts from the Alaska National Guard using an improvised sand table of the training area. Lt. Col Samuel Scott, commands 1-297 Infantry Battalion, 29th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of whom more than 200 soldiers are deploying in support of KFOR 26.
