Paso del Norte Health Foundation The Paso del Norte Health Foundation in El Paso, Texas is one of the largest private foundations on the U.S./Mexico border. The Paso del Norte Health Foundation was established in 1995 from the sale of Providence Memorial Hospital.

The Foundation’s goal is to continue the work begun by Providence to improve the health and wellness of the people living in the Paso del Norte Region through education and prevention. The binational environment in which the Foundation operates is unique. The Paso del Norte Region includes two-countries and three-states with nearly 2.3 million people living in Doña Ana, Luna, and Otero County in New Mexico; El Paso and Hudspeth County of Texas; and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. With the population, over 750,000 residents are under the age of 18.

Congratulations Jana for representing the Health Foundation and the city of El Paso at the Texan by Nature Conservation Summit!

Jana Renner, Program Officer for the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, will be speaking about the Paso del Norte Trail at the 2020 Texan by Nature Conservation Summit on April 20th!

This event features a mix of limited in-person attendance as well as a FREE virtual attendance option. To amplify the experience of the hybrid summit, Texan by Nature has created a Slack channel for all Summit participants to utilize for catalyzing conversations about the amazing conservation efforts happening across the state.

The Conservation Summit is a unique annual gathering hosted by Texan by Nature that focuses on bringing conservation and business leaders together for rich, impact-focused dialogue and networking.

The Summit’s carefully selected panelists, representing both industry and conservation, lay the foundation for discussion by sharing success stories, best practices, lessons learned, and more.
