From career days and classroom presentations to bike safety events and conversations about living alcohol-free, our officers spent the month connecting with the community in meaningful ways.

Building relationships, sharing knowledge, and showing up for El Paso is all part of the job. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us into your schools, events, and neighborhoods this month.

☀️🐾 As temperatures rise, the El Paso Police Department is reminding the community to keep pets safe from the heat.

At this year’s Heat Safe event, Sgt. Kris Serna with the Animal Cruelty Unit educated residents about the dangers extreme heat poses to pets and explained that leaving an animal in dangerous conditions can be a criminal offense, including a felony charge in certain cases.

If you see an animal in distress or being left in unsafe conditions, report it by calling 311, the non-emergency police line, or the Animal Cruelty Tip Line at 915-212-0800. In an emergency, call 911 immediately.
Together, we can help keep our pets safe this summer. 🐶❤️

The El Paso Police Department se unió a Aliviane y Univision en la campaña “Toss Your Cap, Not Your Life — Choose a Sober Driver”.

The El Paso Police Department joined Aliviane and Univision in the Toss Your Cap, Not Your Life — Choose a Sober Driver Campaign. As graduation season approaches, we know it’s a time to celebrate big milestones and look forward to bright futures. We want to remind all graduates to toss your cap, not your life. Plan ahead. Choose a sober ride. Use a rideshare or alternative transportation. Make responsible choices so you can arrive safely and celebrate safely. The El Paso Police Department remains committed to supporting and promoting underage‑drinking prevention and drinking‑and‑driving awareness throughout our community.

The El Paso Police Department, along with the District Attorney’s Office, law enforcement partners, MADD, and community leaders, came together for a DWI roundtable discussion focused on preventing impaired driving and keeping our community safe.

The DWI Taskforce shared updates on ongoing enforcement and education efforts, highlighting the daily work being done to reduce impaired driving across our city.
Today’s discussion was a powerful reminder that through collaboration, education, and enforcement, we can continue building a safer El Paso for everyone.
