They're a masterpiece!

President Obama and Forever First Lady Michelle Obama just unveiled their first commissioned portrait together, painted by Nigerian-born artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby.

The piece will be displayed in the lobby of the new Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, which opens June 19.

Known for layered storytelling in her work, Akunyili Crosby used archival imagery, family history, and cultural references to honor the Obamas’ shared legacy.

A beautiful moment for art, history, and the next chapter of the Obama Presidential Center. đź–¤
