Congratulations to Roberts former Principal, Mr. Guardado, on his new appointment as first Principal of the new Charles Q. Murphree PK-8!

El Paso ISD today announced the appointment of Rafael Guardado as the first principal of the Charles Q. Murphree PK-8 School. The school is the EPISD Bond consolidation of Johnson Elementary and Morehead Middle.

Happy Birthday to our Beautiful Ms. Becki!!! She has celebrated so many birthdays in this building as she was not only an employee, but a student at Roberts.

We also learned our very own custodian, Mr. Oscar, is a super Mariachi as he serenaded our birthday girl...such a great day!!

60 years of Excellence at Roberts ended in some bittersweet moments. Saying goodbye to the students for the last time from this building and emptying everything felt so strange for staff. The staff celebrated great friendships and hard work at a school closing banquet at Texas Roadhouse where years of service awards as well as Teacher of the Year and even a Retirement were all celebrated. Interesting fact...our 2021 Retiree, Alma Renteria, worked in various roles and has been at Roberts for over 30 years!!!!!Thank you Alma for all your hard work and dedication to Roberts...Enjoy Retirement!!!
