I love when things work out (thanks to my colleagues being willing to step in if needed). Two babies were getting ready to come on the same day. But they took their turns and came 12 hours apart. This midwife even got to sleep for 4 hours between them. Very respectful, very polite. (this is an unfiltered photo of what I look like after a post-birth nap)

There are moments in life when you can feel a chapter beginning to close.

After 10 years, I am beginning the process of closing Attuned Midwifery Services.

This practice has held so much—first breaths, powerful labors, quiet postpartum moments, and deep relationships with families. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to do this work in the El Paso community.

I’ve recently accepted a position with Vida Midwifery in Las Cruces, where I’ll be part of a group practice and an upcoming birth center opening in 2026.

I will continue caring for my current clients through the end of 2026, but will not be accepting new clients due July 2026 or later.

This transition holds both grief and excitement. Letting go of something so meaningful is never simple—but stepping into something aligned brings a sense of rightness, too.

I look forward to celebrating this journey with you all soon.

Right after birth, our focus is on keeping baby skin-to-skin with their parents, warm, and bonding. 💞 The first exam is done gently, at home, and with parents right by baby’s side.

Here’s what it includes:
🌿 Checking baby’s breathing, heart rate, temperature, and overall well-being
📏 Measuring weight, length, and head circumference
🧡 Assessing reflexes, tone, and feeding cues
🌸 Delayed cord clamping and a thorough look at baby’s transition earthside

Important update from Attuned Midwifery Services:

I have accepted a staff midwife position with Vida Midwifery in Las Cruces, NM.

Because of this transition:
• I will be gradually closing Attuned Midwifery Services
• I will continue care for all currently registered clients through the end of 2026
• I will not accept new clients due July 2026 or later

This was not an easy decision. After 10 years of serving families in El Paso, this work and community mean a great deal to me.

At the same time, I’m looking forward to joining a group practice model that supports both midwives and families in a more sustainable way. Vida Midwifery is also opening a birth center in July 2026, which I’m excited to be part of.

If you are planning a future pregnancy, I encourage you to explore Vida Midwifery or reach out for referrals to trusted local midwives.
