Visit Ranger Nicole tomorrow at the El Paso Missions Visitor Center for their Coffee at the Trail program!

Join us on Saturday, August 22nd from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Mission Valley Visitor Center for our next Coffee at the Trail. Our special guest speaker is Nicole Roque, the Community Engagement Specialist at Hueco Tanks State Park and Historic Site. This is a great opportunity to learn about Hueco Tanks and how it has provided for people in this region for thousands of years.

Additional parking can be found behind the Sun Metro Transfer Station on the corner of Harris St. and Zaragoza Rd. This is a free event and is open to all who are interested in attending. Don't miss out!

Way to go, Trail Crew!

For the past several weeks, volunteers have given us countless hours helping us improve our trails, campgrounds, and headquarters. We are so grateful for all their help and the park looks great thanks to you!

📣Join us for our Volunteer Trail Crew Work Days! We will be working on various trails, erosion, and vegetation projects!📣

Dates: Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st
Time: 7:30am-11:30am (Check-in by 7:15am)

Bring closed-toe shoes, hats, and pants to protect you from the desert plant life and sun, plenty of water and snacks, and gloves if you have them! Tools will be supplied.

Thinking about bringing your pet to the park? 🐾☀️ Here’s what to expect before you visit!

Due to the desert environment, summer heat, rocky terrain, and limited shade, visiting with pets can be challenging — especially during warmer months. To help keep pets safe, they are only allowed on our short picnic trail and park roads.

Before bringing your furry friend, ask yourself:
🐶 Can they handle hot temperatures and rocky ground?
💧 Will they have enough water and shade breaks?
🥾 Are they comfortable with short walks only?

For some pets, a quick stop to enjoy the scenery may be worth it. For others, especially in extreme heat, it may be safest and most comfortable to leave them at home. And remember, leaving a pet in an unattended vehicle is never allowed!

Help us protect your pets, wildlife, and the park by planning ahead!
