Lawmakers recently passed an amendment to the Service Members Civil Relief Act, or SCRA, allowing Soldiers to terminate an auto or housing lease agreement without a 30-day notice due to a Defense Department stop-move order.

Changes to the SCRA are retroactive, giving families an opportunity to request reimbursement for rental payments accrued during the previous stop-move order, said Melissa Halsey, legal assistance policy division chief for the Army’s Office of the Judge Advocate General.

Today our BN took a short pause and ensured our senior leaders within the BN were on the same agenda when it comes to logistics. Evil Company led the charge and ensured our leadership understood how we will fight and prolong our operations, won’t culminate, and extend our operational reach moving forward. Great job CPT John Laxamana and CW2 Weist.

Everyday I am blessed to work with a fine group of NCOs. Today we got after Leader Development and covered CASEVAC. Starting the day with some great Physical Fitness covering multiple carries from litter to fireman. Afterward we covered CASEVAC and PSGs had the chance to pitch their plan to their peers and get some feedback. This drove a good discussion. Leaders then focused on setting up their non standard vehicle to transport their casualties. I did not take much photos. That’s on me but overall a success.

Great job SFC Robles and SSG Grimes.

We are very proud of all that Evil Company accomplished this week. We focused our efforts on maintenance and conducted scheduled and unschedule services in support of the entire Battalion in order to increase readiness. We also conducted an M4 qualification range while providing transportation and recovery missions for all of our supported Companies.

We congratulate SPC Ramiro Mendez for being chosen as the Evil Company Hero of the week for all his hard work in ensuring our communications equipment are installed, PMCS’ed, and accounted for, as we prepare for the upcoming week in preparation for CPX1.

We also congratulate our newly promoted supply clerk, SPC Demetria Allen!

Lastly, we thank our SFRG team for providing refreshments for all our Soldiers in the motorpool as a token of appreciation for all of their hard work!

My 1st active duty station was at Camp Castle with the 2nd Engineer Battalion (Co. C) and while there I wore the Belgian Fourragere. When I left there I was told that I had to take it off and leave it in Korea. Is this correct or should I have kept the fourragere either on my uniform or with me?
