A Journey 60 Years in the Making! 🎓✨

From May 26 through June 3, the ESC19 Head Start Multipurpose Center was filled with joy, laughter, and proud moments as we honored our incredible PreK graduates during our End-of-Year Celebrations!

This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated Head Start’s 60th Anniversary with our theme: “60 Years Around the Nation: Honoring the Past, Empowering the Present, Inspiring the Future.” A year-long celebration recognizing six decades of helping children and families learn, grow, dream big, and prepare for bright futures.

For 60 years, Head Start has helped children build strong foundations for lifelong success, and this year, 1,066 ESC19 Head Start children are now ready to embark on their next big adventure, heading to area kindergarten programs!

To our families: thank you for being your child’s co-pilot on this incredible journey. Your love, encouragement, and support have helped guide them toward this exciting new destination.

To our children: keep dreaming big, keep learning, and never stop believing in yourselves. Your future is bright, your possibilities are endless, and we cannot wait to see where your journey takes you.

ESC Region 19 Head Start was proud to host the 3rd Annual PBS El Paso Be My Neighbor Day at our Multipurpose Center!

We were excited to welcome hundreds of families from across our community for a day filled with learning, laughter, kindness, and unforgettable memories. From meeting Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat to participating in fun hands-on activities, this year’s event was truly grr-ific!

We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with PBS El Paso and extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all the community agencies and organizations that participated and helped make this special day possible. Your support and dedication to children and families continue to strengthen our community.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and made this celebration so special. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

🐯🌟 Katerina Kittycat made a special visit to the children at Branon Head Start to personally invite them and their families to Saturday’s PBS Be My Neighbor Day 2026 celebration!

PBS El Paso and PNC Grow Up Great are inviting ALL families in our community to join this free, family-friendly event on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the ESC Region 19 Head Start MultiPurpose Center, located at 11670 Chito Samaniego Dr.

Families will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat, enjoy hands-on educational activities, connect with community partners, receive free books, and celebrate kindness, empathy, and community together.

Children will also have the chance to create a special Mother’s Day arts-and-crafts gift for the mothers and caregivers in their lives.

Bring the whole family for a grr-ific day of fun, learning, and neighborhood spirit! We can’t wait to see you there!

Congratulations to the Artemis space crew! Your journey is a powerful reminder that every astronaut’s path begins with a dream sparked at some point in their lives and fueled by curiosity, determination, and imagination.

At ESC19 Head Start, dreams can begin early with visits to the IntelliZeum. The IntelliZeum, an interactive learning environment, introduces children to experiences that inspire exploration and discovery.

As part of their annual field trips, Head Start children engage in hands-on learning that fosters interest in space, architecture, engineering, communication, human health, history, and the environment.

While in the space environment, children walk on the moon’s surface, view the stars at the constellation station, learn the names of our planets in the solar system at the planet wall, and explore the universe at the Intelliscope Observatory.

This one-of-a-kind experience is unique to children enrolled in the ESC19 Head Start program, helping plant the seeds for future innovators, scientists, and yes, even astronauts.

⚽📣💙 Our 2026 Head Start soccer and spirit team season is officially underway!

Through our Family Engagement Sports Program (FESP), our Head Start children are taking the field and the sidelines with excitement, teamwork, confidence, and school spirit. From scoring goals to cheering on their friends, every child is learning the value of good sportsmanship, encouragement, and working together as a team. 🌟

A heartfelt thank-you to our amazing parent volunteers and supportive families for helping make this experience so special. Your encouragement helps our children grow, shine, and create memories that go far beyond game day. 🙌✨
