ICYMI: The sacrifices of our Vietnam veterans should never be forgotten, and I’m proud our office could join the Van Horn community for the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

This memorial ensures the sacrifices and stories of our Vietnam veterans will be remembered for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this tribute possible, and to all of our veterans for their service to our nation.

ICYMI: More than $1.8 million in state funding is coming to El Paso to support military and veteran families through counseling, parenting support, education, and youth development programs at the Child Crisis Center of El Paso and El Paso Center for Children.

Our military families make tremendous sacrifices in service to our country, and it’s important we continue supporting them not just during deployment, but here at home too. Community input is still being collected on the future designation of the Cesar Chavez Border Highway, including perspectives on a potential renaming or keeping the current designation as is.

Feedback gathered through the survey will help inform any possible next steps moving forward. The survey will remain open through August 31.

Extreme heat can be incredibly dangerous for seniors, especially in rural communities where access to resources can be more limited.

This afternoon, our office kicked off our 6th Annual “Beat the Heat” box fan giveaway in Fort Hancock, helping local seniors stay safe and cool during the summer months.
