Engineering students traveled this summer to Argentina to learn about sustainability. The program was a partnership with the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR). We would like to thank UNR and the Asociacion Argentina de Carreteras for the opportunities they provided to all the students. Por sexto año consecutivo se lleva a cabo el Global and Regional Sustainable Engineering, programa de intercambio que es posible gracias al convenio de cooperación e intercambio académico que firmaron la Universidad de Piura y la University of Texas at El Paso en julio del 2012.
A group of 10 engineering students traveled this weekend to Guadalajara, Mexico to start their Smart Cities research at the University of Guadalajara as part of the National Science Foundation funded International Research Experience for Students (IRES) program. Dr. Natalia Villanueva is the principal investigator of the program and traveled this week with the students.
We wish a great week to the group of UTEP and CTU students who embark a new experience this week. In this picture, Dr. Horak ,faculty from the Czech Technical University and UTEP faculty , Dr. Cheu, accompany the group.
This week 16 engineering students start the two week faculty led program abroad at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic. The two UTEP faculty traveling with them and teaching the Smart Cities course are Dr. Kelvin Cheu and Dr. Carlos Ferregut . Faculty from CTU will also be teaching this interesting course to UTEP and CTU students #EngineeringAbroad #GoMiners
We would like to welcome the students from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. This group of students from Rosario, Argentina will be on campus this week as part of the program funded by the 100,000 Strong in the Americas initiative
