We surprised Amistad with an Easter gift this morning! We hope everyone has a great Easter weekend.
We know work weeks can be stressful, so we hosted a Video Game Day at Amistad - El Paso! We allowed our colleagues to enjoy themselves with a game of Galaxian.

Thank you to all who donated to our donation drive last week! And a special thank you to Catch 22 Peer Support for donating additional necessities for the colder temperatures we've been experiencing in the evenings. All items were much appreciated and donated to individuals in our community who need them the most.
The deadline for our donation drive is tomorrow! Make sure to drop off your donations at Amistad - El Paso located at 3210 Dyer St. We thank everyone who is able to donate.
We’re happy to provide support and help our community partners in different ways. Our VISTA team dropped off a donation of 600 pairs of Bombas socks for the Child Crisis Center of El Paso today!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and his principles, the VISTA Team at Project Amistad in Partnership with Burlington Coat Factory donated 40 gently used children's coats to the Reynolds home that serves at-risk families.
Amistad is selling a 2020 calendar featuring the service dogs and Therapy dogs in the community. Calenders are going for $20 ( cash or check) all proceeds go towards Amistad's client Health and welfare fund. If you are interested please Contact the VISTA Department at 915-298-1104.
Today, the VISTA team with PA gave the Firefighters at Fire Station 12, three dozen doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. We wanted to recognize the first responders in our community as well as those who were there 9/11. First Responders forever!!

Project Amistad has two openings for AmeriCorps VISTA at our agency. Below are the duties and responsibilities
Has the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrates the ability to analyze problems and come to a solution.
Has experience in fund development for cash donation or in-kind support.
Can establish and maintain good working relationships with officers, managers, supervisors, fellow employees and external entities.
Has the ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
Possesses a High school diploma.
Demonstrates the ability to complete written reports and has experience in written and oral communication skills.
Average computer skills to include Excel, Microsoft Word, PPT and Outlook, along with social media experience.
Has access to own transportation preferred. Possesses a valid Driver's License and meets vehicle state law insurance requirements.
Demonstrates the ability to read, write and have oral communication skills
Able to lift up to thirty pounds and agrees to undergo Background checks by law enforcement as well as a drug test.
