Today we celebrated the retirement of Alejandro “Alex” Medina after more than 14 years of dedicated service to the El Paso County 911 District and our community. From multiple roles to lasting relationships across the region, Alex’s professionalism, expertise, and commitment to public safety have made a true impact. While we’ll miss his leadership and friendship, we’re grateful for the legacy he leaves behind. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Alex and wish him well in his next chapter.

Throughout his career, Alex has served the District in several roles, consistently demonstrating professionalism, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to public safety. His work has supported not only our internal teams, but also the many agencies, partners, and jurisdictions that rely on the District every day. Alex’s contributions have had a lasting impact on our operations and on the relationships we have built across the region.
