It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Kathleen Douglas (KAT) on Sunday evening after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Kat joined the fire department on January 3rd, 2000, and while she may not have planned to stay for 25 years, we are all better because she did.

She was more than a coworker; she shared our good times and felt our struggles, serving as a mother figure to most of us. She will be dearly missed but will never be forgotten.

Kat chose to be remembered with a Celebration of her life and the time we had with her. As her family and friends, we will be planning something that would make Kat proud, and we will announce this in the near future.
