The Canadian County Health Department is offering FREE Tai Chi classes beginning September 22!

Tai Chi is a low-impact activity that can be enjoyed by adults of different ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re new to Tai Chi or simply looking for a relaxing way to add movement to your week, we’d love to have you join us.

Tuesdays & Thursdays

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning for Chamber Coffee at the Canadian County Health Department! ☕

We enjoyed connecting with community members, sharing conversations, and welcoming everyone into our health department for coffee, connection, and a tour. 🚗 Today’s the day! Our Booster Seat Distribution Event is happening this afternoon in El Reno!

Stop by the El Reno Carnegie Library (101 N. Choctaw) today, August 6, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. to learn if your child is ready for a booster seat. Nationally certified child passenger safety technicians will be on-site to help caregivers properly install booster seats and answer questions.

The Child Guidance team is here to help families and caregivers address current concerns, understand their child's developmental needs, and encourage nurturing relationships to ensure a healthy future for children, families, and the community.

All families have opportunities to benefit from the clinic-based services offered by the Child Guidance program. Child Guidance provides important and useful information and resources that help guide caregivers to nurture their children’s development.

Is your child ready for a booster seat?

Join the Canadian County Health Department for a Booster Seat Distribution Event on Thursday, August 6, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. at the El Reno Carnegie Library (101 N Choctaw, El Reno).

Nationally certified child passenger safety technicians will be on-site to help determine if your child is ready for a booster seat and teach caregivers how to properly install it.

✅ Limited supply of booster seats available while supplies last
✅ Child must be present

Our staff work each day to ensure that every person who lives, works, and plays in our community has access to the highest quality public health services.

Many services are provided at no cost, while others are available on a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. No one will be denied services because of an inability to pay.
