We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague, Retired Judge Gary E. Miller. Judge Miller served as a paratrooper and field reporter in the United States Army before going on to practice law for more than 20 years. He was appointed as Canadian County Associate District Judge by Governor Frank Keating and later ran unopposed to become District Judge.

Judge Miller will long be remembered for his commitment to the youth and families of Canadian County. His dedication to the community was evident by his participation in a variety of boards and committees which sought to improve the lives of those around him. He was a pioneer, and it was his vision that led to the creation of one of the most highly respected juvenile facilities in the State of Oklahoma, a facility that bears his name.

Judge Miller's dedication to Canadian County is an inspiration. We hope to honor his memory and his legacy through service to the families in our community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
