Up, up, and away!🪁☀️ Join us for our Annual Go Fly a Kite Day on Sunday, September 13. The event will take place from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Recreation Park on the grass area next to the Checkout Building.

This is a free community event where we’ll color the sky with all your amazing kites. Don’t have a kite? Don’t worry! We will have a limited supply of free kites to giveaway that will be yours to keep! Free kites will be given out on a first come, first serve basis due to the limited amount offered. Event activities include kite decorating, crafts, and plenty of outdoor fun!

This event is open to all ages and is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your friends and family.

ACTING IS BELIEVING (ages 8-14) an 8 week class that every actor needs. You will expand your imagination via theatre games and improvisation. Using your body and voice are all part of this amazing journey! We will take a deep dive into: “How to create a believable character.” Great for stage and film actors & students who wish to step up their presentations! 🎭🎬

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 4:00pm-5:30pm beginning on September 16.

The Fall 2026 Recreation Activity Guide is here!🍁🤸‍♀️ Scan the QR code or visit https://www.elsegundorecparks.gov/programs-services/recreation-programs-activities/registration-information to explore all the classes, activities, and events offered this fall by El Segundo Recreation, Parks, and Library.

Registration for El Segundo residents opens on Monday, August 17 at 9:00 a.m. and non-residents registration opens on Monday, August 31 at 9:00 a.m. Registration is available online through ESREC.org or in person at the Checkout Building, Clubhouse, Joslyn Center, and Aquatics Center.

ATTENTION‼️ We are switching to a new registration platform for Fall 2026! Please review the registration information on page 7 of the Recreation Activity Guide for important details before registering.

Don’t forget to renew your Resident ID cards! El Segundo Residents with a valid Resident ID Card receive a discount on recreation activities and facility and outdoor rentals. Parents registering a minor must also have a current Resident ID for discounts. Resident ID’s can be purchased at the Clubhouse, Checkout Building, Joslyn Center, and Aquatics Center. Resident ID purchases require two forms of proof of El Segundo residency.
