Encourage these young people as they compete this weekend at the 8AA One Act Region Competition!

We want to send an early shout-out to the ECCHS One Act Team and their Literary Coach Tracy Brown as they compete this weekend (Saturday, 10/22) in the 8-AA Region One Act Competition at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Our very talented students are slated to perform their play, “A Prayer for Mary Catherine” by Elizabeth Downing around 1:30 PM. Coach Brown says, “We have many new members this year and we are excited that they are bringing their talent to our stage. We have faced many difficulties this season, but our cast has persevered through it all.” We know you’ll represent ECCHS well, Dramatic Devils! Break a leg!

EYE ON INSTRUCTION: Michael Blackston, local artist, author, and actor, spoke to the Dramatic Arts II class on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He spoke to the students about projection, articulation, leading the audience, and thinking on your feet. All of these elements help to create a better actor who is more prepared for anything that will happen on stage. He led students in games and activities that will help them become better actors on stage and how to use these same skills to be better communicators throughout life.
