Effective immediately, individuals will be limited to a maximum of three (3) active bonds at any given time. This limitation does not apply to licensed bondsmen who are authorized by the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office to conduct bonding activities within Elbert County.

This policy change will not affect bonds already executed; however, individuals who have reached the maximum allowable number of active bonds may be restricted from executing additional bonds until one or more existing bonds are resolved.

Once again, scammers are attempting to get money from the family of our incarcerated inmates. Please do NOT send any money to anyone claiming to be employees of the Elbert County Sheriff's Office or bonding companies. We do not solicit money from citizens. The following bonding companies operate in our county: Bulldog Bonding, E-Z Break Bonding, J&J Bonding, Double O Bonding, and Liberty Bonding. These companies will not initiate calls to you to market their business.

Please report any scams to the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office.
