We would like to take a moment to thank those businesses that donated cases of water for us to hand out to our residents last week. A special thank you goes to Jefferson City Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Vote Jake Vogel as well as Lindyspring Lake of the Ozarks! Also, thank you to Woods Supermarket who gave us a great deal on water! There were also many who offered to donate and other area businesses who distributed water as well.

Start your day at 7:30 with the Firecracker 5K Walk/Run, then get your place for our annual 4th of July Parade at 10am. No need to register, the parade begins in the high school gym parking lot--lineup begins at 9am.

Come swim at the Eldon Aquatic Center from 12-4pm for only $2.
Beginning at 4pm the Airpark will open with food trucks, activities for the kids and live entertainment .

We're excited to welcome back The i-Berrys Band beginning at around 6pm.

And then of course the 🎆BIG SHOW 🎆beginning at dark.

BOIL ORDER STILL IN EFFECT.

The City of Eldon remains under a boil water order as the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) continues to oversee required testing and monitoring of the city’s water system.

At the request of the DNR, the city was required to disinfect the water system through the injection of liquid chlorine. The chlorination process went smoothly.

Following the chlorination process, additional water samples were collected by DNR and tested by their labs. All sample results have come back clear. One additional round of clear sample results is required before the boil water order can be lifted.

The City of Eldon will continue to work closely with DNR and will provide updates as information becomes available. Residents will be notified immediately once DNR authorizes the lifting of the boil order.

📣📣 There will be a water distribution TODAY, June 5th at the Eldon Community Center from 4-5:30pm.

If you are homebound or cannot make it during that time, please contact city hall no later than 3pm at 573-392-2291 to request a water delivery for today. Do not leave addresses in the comments as they are not monitored regularly.

One case per household. Distribution will take place in a drive through system. Please stay in your vehicles.
