***UPDATE**** Dog has been returned to its owner.

An off duty officer found this sweet girl running along Edgington Ave by GoodStop around 12:50 pm. She jumped right into the back seat of the car, avoiding oncoming traffic. If she belongs to you or you know who she belongs to, please contact the Hardin County Sheriffs Office.

🚫 REMINDER: No All-Night Parking 2am-6am on Designated Streets 🚫

The Eldora Police Department would like to remind residents that overnight parking is prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on the following streets, per City Code 69.09 (Code of Iowa, Sec. 321.236[1]).

No person, except physicians or emergency vehicles, shall park a vehicle during these hours on:

• Edgington Avenue – both sides, from 11th Street to 14th Street

• 14th Avenue – both sides, from 12th Street to 14th Street

• 12th Street – both sides, from 12th Avenue to 14th Ave

• 12th Street – east side, from 14th Avenue to 15th Ave

• Washington Street – both sides, from 11th Avenue to 15th Ave

• 12th Avenue – both sides, from 12th Street to 14th Street

• 12th Street – both sides, from Edgington Avenue to 14th Ave
(except the east side from 14th Avenue north to the first alley)

• Washington Street – both sides, from 12th Avenue to 15th Ave

• 14th Avenue – both sides, from 12th Street to Washington Street

Vehicles parked in violation of this ordinance may be cited.

Found pup alert! OWNERS LOCATED

Once again we have located an older dog with a green and black collar. This dog did not come up to law enforcement, continued to bark. If you own this dog or know the owner please contact the Sheriffs office.

Found pup alert! Another dog running around town. If your dog goes missing, call it in to make law enforcement aware so they can be returned home. Be aware that Dog At Large is a city citation as well. Law enforcement has seen this dog running around town for roughly 3 days now.

🐾 Found Pup Alert (Missy has been reunited with her family! Shes definitely the sweetest!)

Officer Havens picked up a sweet-looking dog on the north side of town.
We’ve named her Honey. She appears to be a female pit bull mix, white and beige.
We are looking for her owners or someone who may be able to provide a home for her.
If this looks like your missing pup, or you can help, please contact the Eldora Police Department.

❄️❄️❄️ SNOW ORDINANCE ❄️❄️❄️

Please make sure all vehicles are off the streets.

Reminder: If the streets accumulate 2 or more inches of snow, the snow parking ordinance will be in effect. ALL vehicles will need to be removed from ALL city streets.

Violators will be ticketed. Repeat offenders will be towed. Please remove parked vehicles from the streets so they can be cleared. Please stay safe and warm during these cold days!

69.13 SNOW REMOVAL. When snow or ice or a combination of the two has accumulated to a level of two (2) inches or more, it is unlawful for any person to park, abandon or leave unoccupied or unattended any vehicle, except emergency vehicles and vehicles operated by physicians on emergency calls, on the streets in the City until the traveled portion of the streets has been completely plowed.
