From Carl’s mailbag: Greg writes: “Carl, if you don’t get to come to town what happens to the fun stuff the aldermen have promised?”
Greg, without me you’re going to have to learn to live within your budget. I know that’s isn’t what you Eldorians want to hear but at least you’ll have garbage service.

“Yes, it almost does seem like that smaller communities are maybe getting singled out and I'm not sure the reasoning behind it,” said one small town police chief.

Well Dick, I’d prefer people not m**h around with my house or the 11kg of copper I keep on hand.
With all the money I’ll bring to town your aldermen should be able to provide free garbage service and you’ll be able to afford a week’s worth of tweaking!

I’m not happy! I just heard that bringing me to town to stop people from running a stop sign is like having a colonoscopy to prevent sunburn.

Help me, help you make some money. Call your state senate person and tell them you want my bags of cash!

The bill requires cities and counties to get permission from the Iowa DOT to use traffic cameras, and standardizes the fines that can be issued.

While you know my family and our owners don’t care about your constitution we’re getting tired of you folks and your love of guns. My cousin Rueben took a couple shots in a neighboring state. Let’s calm all the chatter about the constitution and leave my family and I alone.

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), roundabouts are safer than intersections controlled by stop signs or traffic signals. Roundabouts can reduce injury crashes by 75% and fatal crashes by up to 90%.
Instead of roundabouts I’ve seen several of my cousins deployed. Installing a speed camera instead of a roundabout makes sense!
