Eldred Borough regrets to announce that the Military Banners & Flags are not going to be able to be put up this year on Main Street. The Borough does not have it's own equipment to do this and therefor borrows a truck from another municipality each year, this year with the availability of the truck in combination with the weather it did not work out to get them up prior to the construction on Main Street and since construction has started there are many poles they are unable to get to. We apologize but look forward to having them all back up next year

Update to the Borough on Main Street Project:

This coming week drainage work just north of Campbell Alley to Mechanic Street. Also the concrete crew will continue work on the curb ramps throughout the project and begin the curb from Elm Street towards Mechanic Street

Will be continuing drainage operations from Elm to Mechanic St

Curb and Curb ramps between Edson and Elm St for the next 2 weeks

Update to the Borough on the Main Street Project:

Week of 4/13/26 - Working on drainage & curbs from Elm Street to Mechanic Street

Some residents will have trenches dug in front of their property and may need to find alternate parking. They are supposed to be placing door hangers on the properties that this will affect. If you have one of these on your door and have questions please stop and talk to one of the crew members on the job

The American Lung Association is allowing us to distribute these kits to surrounding towns as well so if you would like one just come by the Borough office to pick one up
