The Greene County Health Department in connection with the Greene & Scott County Recovery Council will be collecting canned and dry food for the local food pantries, from now until November 17th. We are hoping to help the increasing local needs.
Donations may be dropped off at these convenient locations:

Roodhouse or Carrollton Health Department buildings
Greenfield Library
Eldred Legion

We Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
Starting today November 1st we have started a Blessings Box for the community. This is for anyone who needs it.
If you want to donate items to the box just remember it is outside and temperatures are going to be fluctuating so shelf stable food is best.
We Hope this is something we can continue for a long time, serving our community is why we do this

Located in the box in front of our little library so check out a book while you're there as well!

We have moved to the Fire House on Pine street to stay dry come on down and get some good treats!

Eldred will be hosting their annual Trunk or Treat on Octber 18th 2025 from 4pm-6pm come down and show off your costumes and get some goodies!!

Every three years, Boyd Memorial Hospital completes a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to better understand the health priorities of our community.

As part of this process, we’re meeting with community leaders & members in focus groups over the next few weeks. But we also want to hear from YOU!

What do you think healthcare in our small community could benefit from?
