Introducing the newest (new to us) brush truck for Electra fire. This is unit 11 that we recently acquired from Friberg-Cooper Volunteer Fire Department. This replaced our old duece and a half that the department used for many years. We hope to have many years with this one.

Our department, along with Punkin Center Volunteer Fire Department and Iowa Park Volunteer Fire Department have been out assisting each other on a grass fire near Burnett ranch road and 2345. With the hot temps our department is keeping busy! With that being said, we are accepting donations of water and Gatorade to keep crew members hydrated while out dealing with hot scenes! If you feel inclined to donate, please take donations to Electra fire department! Thank you in advance!!

Early this morning one of our local families lost their home and belongings to a house fire. As a result they have lost all their necessities and are in need of clothes. If anyone is able to help, donations can be dropped off at the Electra Police Department.

sized 40D bra
Women's sized 10- 10 1/2 shoes and socks

As of 10:45pm, all crews are back at the station and back in service! We cannot thank all of the departments that came from near and far to assist us with another long day of fighting fire!

Ours crews are currently back out on scene of a fire off of FM 2326. Our crews worked long hours last night and it’s likely to be a long afternoon today. our crews, as well as our assisting crews need hydration/ fuel while out on these long, hot calls! If you feel generous today, we could use waters/ Gatorades/ protein snacks! Donations can be dropped off at the station at any time and one of our members/wives will disperse! Thank you in advance from all crews!

Your Electra fire department was toned out at 16:53 pm to a grass fire off of 2326. Upon getting closer to scene we reached out to Kamay Volunteer Fire Department for mutual aid. Once we started getting on scene and started to see it take off and run we realized we would need more help to stop this we would like to give a huge thank you to WFFD wichita west fire department Bowman Vfd Harrold fire department vernon fire department Texas A&M Forest Service Holliday fire department and Iowa Park Volunteer Fire Department for much needed help and support to control and stop this fire. As of 23:44 our unit 15 along with kamay 2 trucks and a tender are still on scene assisting the forestry service with full containment.

EDIT**** at 00:07 all of our fire department personnel are back home and all trucks are back in service.

An action-packed fundraiser is coming to Electra this weekend, all with the goal of raising money for the Electra Youth Football and Cheer teams.

It’s getting to be that time again!! Hot temperatures and hot flames drain our guys and they need to replenish! If you feel it In you or are able to donate water/ Gatorades/ hydration packets, donations can be taken to Greg Lynn’s building at 301 West Cleveland Ave or to our meeting hall on Tuesdays at 6:30pm or contact Kristin Doss to set up a pickup! Thank you in advance as we prepare for one of our busiest times of the year!!
