In the past 2 weeks, Texas Communities Group Code Enforcement Officer has identified and mailed letters to 82 property owners, on the north side of town only, that are out of compliance with the grass and weeds ordinance.
The south side of town inspections will be next weekend. We understand the rain has made it difficult to keep up with the growth; the City had dealt with the same issues on our own properties.
Please make efforts to curb the growth and mow when able. Thank you as we all strive to make Electra the best community possible.

The City is now accepting Letters of Interest from citizens for the open position of Commissioner Place 1. City Hall will be accepting those letters through June 16th and the council will be reviewing them at the June 23rd regular scheduled meeting. Any qualified person shall list their reasons for interest, a summary of their background, and their goals as a commissioner. Applicants are encouraged to attend the June 23rd meeting to have dialogue with the City Council.
*All applicants must meet the requirements set forth by the City Charter and State laws.
