Seeing Black in REaD "Discover Your Roots Through Books."

Saturday, September 30
Second Baptist Church of Elgin, Parking Lot,
1280 Summit Street, Elgin
11am to 2pm

Some of our activities include...A storytime corner, the Schaumburg and Popular Creeks Library in attendance, a book mobile, Black authors, book raffles, food trucks, music, crafts, and more! Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for library cards and voter registration. All are welcome.

Hi everyone, now that school is over, we will be making repairs to the library so we can reopen. We are currently getting a new parking lot and sidewalks at the school, so repairs won't be made until the lot is reopened! Hopefully we'll be ready to open in mid-July.

Hi Everyone, the door on the library has been damaged (hopefully just weather), so our library is currently empty while the door is being repaired. We want to thank the 6th graders who noticed the door was damaged and helped empty the library in order to keep our books safe! Also thanks to Mr. Joe for keeping the plexiglass safe and Ms. Candy for keeping our books for us!

Exciting news! Our library was picked to win 2 copies of Good Morning America's March Book Club pick! We can't share the book yet, but watch GMA on Tuesday morning to see the book announced! The book will be in our library on Tuesday!

Stopped by and organized the library today + added a bunch of new books. It's completely full, with lots of great YA titles, some adult mysteries, the newest Wimpy Kid and this adorable book about what else? Otters!

Beware of ants- we will be out later this week to spray!

Our library's path is unfortunately under a lot of snow currently. Hoping to get there ASAP and dig the path out, as we have a lot of amazing books for Black History Month that we've been wanting to share!
