Did you know that a third-generation immigrant is three times more likely to take their own life than a first-generation immigrant?

During July, Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s crucial to highlight the unique mental health challenges faced by different generations within immigrant communities. The pressures of cultural assimilation, identity conflicts, and intergenerational trauma can significantly impact mental wellbeing.

The National Hispanic Su***de Prevention Network, is a grassroot organization created to help address these issues and supporting mental health for all generations. Together, we can create a community of understanding & support.

This July, we will highlight the unique mental health challenges faced by our Hispanic community. At NHSPN, we are committed to breaking the stigma and providing support.

🧠 Why It Matters:
- Minorities face additional mental health barriers.
- Cultural stigma and lack of resources can prevent seeking help.

🤝 How We Can Help:
- Culturally sensitive resources.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training.
- Mental health education.
- Bilingual programming.
- Support network for survivors.
- Advocacy for better policies and services.
