ELGIN STAMPEDE BARREL CLUB'S 5D BARREL RACE SPOOKTACULAR Barrel Bash Photos are Ready!

To purchase from our amazing photographer, Jada Follett 👇

1. Create a favorites list (heart the photos you want and enter your email, it’ll save them in a list)

2. Message Jada Follett and let her know when you are ready to order.

3. Photos will be $4 each and will take payments via Venmo.
(ex. 5 photos, $20)

4. Once Venmo is paid she will send you an email with your high-resolution images. (She will send you her Venmo in messenger when you are ready to order)

That’s a wrap! 🎃🌦️👻

We have officially wrapped up producing our very first Pole Bending Jackpot and 5D Barrel Race! The weather may not have been perfect, but we made it through and kept the show rolling — and what a weekend it was!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to run, cheer, and support. And an even bigger shoutout to all of our volunteers and helpers who made this weekend possible. It truly took an army — from the high school and junior high kids setting barrels and filling splash & dash cups, to our awesome barrel club announcers, to the parents, friends and family who stepped up whenever we needed an extra hand. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💪

Special thanks to Kerry Eckstein for all his hard work keeping our arena in shape after that less-than-ideal amount of rain 😅 The ground stayed safe and rideable because of his expertise and dedication — we apprecite you, Kerry!! 🙌

And how about that costume contest?! 🎭🐴 The creativity was next level! We were truly blown away by how many people dressed up and had a blast! (Pictures to come!) Congrats to all our winners and participants for making it one of the most fun parts of the weekend!

We also want to give another huge thank you to our added money sponsors, the Elgin Stampeders, and Mel and Scotty Payne for providing the ground equipment — we are so grateful for your support. ❤️

Hey club members!

If you are not familiar with Saddlebook for the Halloween Barrel Race entry, please reach out to Lorretta or I and we can help you!

Heres a quick breakdown:

Anyone can enter the Open - no age limits or restrictions. This is where most of the added money goes.

$1,500 Added Money to the Open — the biggest payout of the race.

5D Payout System: We use the same 5D setup as our barrel club. Times are split into five divisions based on the fastest time, so riders of all levels have a chance to place and win.

Multiple Placings Paid: We pay out multiple spots in every division. Even if you’re not the fastest overall, you’re still in the running for money in your division.

Youth Division (17 & Under)
4D payout system

$100 Added Money to the Youth class now!!

If you have entered Open also, it will ask if you want to carry or ride.

Peewee Division (10 & Under)
Straight payout

$100 Added Money to the Peewee class.
Lead Line Allowed.
Prizes given to all Peewees!

Senior Division (50 & Over) No added money.
4D payout system

If you have entered Open also, it will ask if you want to carry or ride.

Novice Division (all ages)
4D payout system

To enter Novice the horse or rider must have won less than $500 lifetime earnings.

If you have entered Open also, it will ask if you want to carry or ride.

Carrying Over Your Time from Open or Riding

You can carry your Open time into Youth, Senior, or Novice if you qualify for those divisions. That means you only run once, and your time counts for both the Open and your age division.

Or Run Twice: If you prefer, you can run separately in Open and Youth/Senior for two runs and two separate times (entry fees apply for both).

Saddlebook will only show you the age divisions that are available to you based on your birthday.

This race counts towards the 2026 NWBHA finals. If you are not an NWBHA member, you do not need to pay the $3 qualifer fee.

Pre-Entries close Oct. 7th. On or after Oct. 7th, there is a late fee. You can enter up untill 11am the day of the race. We will post the Pre-Draw Oct. 10!

Similar rules apply to the Pole Bending Jackpot, except it is a 3D payout.

Hi all!

We are looking for a few barrel/pole setters and a gate person for our Pole Bending Jackpot Oct 11th and Barrel Race Oct. 12th! (We will pay you for your help!)

We will also need some help for our Sip and Dash Barrel Race after the Poles! If anyone is interested in helping or has a kiddo that would like to help, please let us know!

We need your help to make this a fun and efficient event! 🤠
