Reliving Our 125th Celebration!

What an unforgettable milestone. If you missed the festivities or just want to experience the magic all over again, take a look at this recap of our 125-year celebration. We are so grateful to everyone who made this night special.

We were thrilled to honor some truly special individuals during the evening, including our Legacy Award Recipient, Betty Brown, and our Dorothy Silverstein Scholarship Recipient, Saramaya Huynh. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our poet laureate, Aron Ryan, for sharing your incredible talent and inspiring words with us, and to our amazing auction hosts, Corey and Janelle Dixon, for keeping the energy high all night.

We also want to recognize Ella, Jordaan, and Marlene from our Jr. Marketing Committee, who are current and former Take 2 Teens, for capturing these moments with the wonderful photos they took. Additionally, thank you to Carmina's Restaurant and Banquet for your wonderful support.

Like many of you, we were heartbroken to learn that Hamilton Wings is closing. For years, they've poured so much into the children in our community, and we're truly thankful for all of it.

We especially want to thank Wings for their generous donation of supplies to our program! Our children and staff have already been putting the props and costumes to great use, sparking so much imagination and creativity in our classrooms.

Thank you, Hamilton Wings, for everything you've done over the years. You will be missed!

Summer may be winding down, but on Wednesday, before School District U-46 was back in session, our afterschool childcare students made sure to go out with a bang! From game-table challenges to a build-your-own ice cream sundae bar loaded with all the toppings, our kiddos celebrated their last day of childcare before the new school year with laughter, friendship, and a whole lot of fun.

💵 $16.00–$20.00/hr
🕐 Mon–Fri, 1:00 PM–6:00 PM (full-time hours available during summer & school breaks)

What you'll need:
✔️ Must be 21+
✔️ Valid driver's license
✔️ Pass a DCFS background check

What an incredible milestone. YWCA Elgin recently celebrated its 125th anniversary surrounded by the community we are so proud to serve. Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and supported our mission throughout history. We are honored to be part of Elgin and to continue providing meaningful opportunities for local families.
