Summer Update June 2, 2024:

Thanks everyone for holding in there with us. We want to see construction get started on the property as much as you do! We are in our final round of comments from the permit office to get our site plan approved. We are running about 2-3 weeks behind on submitting our Aviator space building plan so we are shooting to have that submitted by the end of this month to the begging of July time period. Once the building plans are approved we can award the project to a construction partner and get rolling.

Please know that we are making every effort to move as fast as possible. We are making sure this project is a long term success for the community.

Update 3/26/2024

Our site plan permit should be issued anytime! We are just finalizing materials and final details for our building plans before we send it out for permitting.

Our team at Makers Architects have been very easy to work with and are going above and beyond to make sure we get a beautiful attraction! There are so many fun things that we’re building into this place and we can’t wait to share that with all of you.

Construction update from our architecture firm:

We are at 100% Design Development at this point, we still have one more milestone to hit. The plans are moving forward and if all things go as anticipated, we should be at CDs in the next 2-3 months (building only). Civil is already in review for SDP.

Our financing institution will require a full set of permitted plans before doing any work. That would put us around June or July for construction start if nothing major hits the radar in the process.

The City of Elgin has been phenomenal. Especially leadership of EDC, City Council, and City Managment. As always we want this to be a successful investment in Elgin for us as well as our beautiful community.

We can only stress that no one will be disappointed in its final outcome!
