7th Grade Tiger Chorus student enjoyed getting random cards, putting themselves in the correct order, then practicing solfege hand signs and pitches while also demonstrating knowledge of half and whole notes.

Students participated in the first PBIS reward day of the year. Student competed in a House Dodgeball Tournament.
8th grade Reveur won, while Protos and Amistad won for 7th and 6th grades respectively.

🏈📚 READ WITH THE GAMECOCKS! 📚🏈
Stover Tigers, Let’s Get Reading! 💙💛
We are excited to announce that Read with the Gamecocks is back for the fall! Stover students have an opportunity to earn ticket vouchers to a University of South Carolina Gamecocks game simply by spending time reading!

📚 Reading Challenge: September 14–25
⏱️ Goal: Read at least 150 minutes during the two-week challenge
📝 Track It: Students should record their reading minutes on the Read with the Gamecocks reading log.
📅 Turn It In: Completed reading logs are due to teachers by Monday, September 28.

Students who successfully complete the reading challenge and return their reading logs will have their information submitted to USC to receive a Gamecock ticket voucher.

This is a great opportunity to encourage reading while giving our students something exciting to work toward!

Let us take a moment to share a quick update on Stover Athletics and recognize our student-athletes for an outstanding week of competition.
Our football and volleyball teams both competed in jamborees this week and represented Stover extremely well! Both teams played hard, competed from start to finish, and gave us plenty to be proud of. It was exciting to see our student-athletes finally have the opportunity to put all of their hard work and preparation into action.

Estella Blackwell
Battle of Camden meet!

The LEH Varsity girls placed 5th out of 15 teams. They were led by 8th grade Stover Tiger, Estella Blackwell who placed 5th out of 121 runners.

Constitution Week September 14th-18th

8th grade GT Social Studies students completed a jigsaw activity in which they worked collaboratively in different groups to investigate how South Carolina’s physical environment influenced the ways Native American groups lived, adapted, and developed their unique cultures.
