The Pingree Grove Fire Protection District is helping build the next generation of firefighters through apprenticeships. Five apprentices completed Basic Operations Firefighter training as part of their pathway into the fire service and are earning on-the-job training hours.

Through paid training and ride-along experiences, these apprentices gained real-world exposure while working alongside career firefighters and building critical skills.

This success highlights how apprenticeship programs, supported by employer collaboration and grant funding, create opportunities for individuals while strengthening the public safety workforce in local communities.

Stuffed Animal Donation

The Bishop O’Neill Knights of Columbus and St. Mary’s Ladies Auxiliary generously donated stuffed animals to the fire district to help support children during emergencies. These comfort items will be provided to young patients experiencing stressful, traumatic, or difficult situations, offering reassurance and a sense of security during challenging moments.

Thank you again for your generous donations!
